Flight Tracker

General Information

Flight Tracker uses the backup disk from the FR759 program to update it's system files by use of an update utility. Currently Flight Tracker displays the full list of personal information for each person in the FR759 program, the current and closed out -12's sorted by date or person, a memorandum writing tool that embeds codes to pull information from the database, and a flight schedule editor.  The main feature Flight Tracker was originally designed for is a flight time listing which includes name, SSN, total time, NVG time, last NVG flight, and days since last NVG flight to greatly reduce the time it takes to fill out risk assesments.

Future Development

Flight Operations is in dire need of automation.  Many companies are paying huge sums of money for integrated programs to enhance business intelligence with information systems.  Unfortunately, the Army has largely ignored the needs of Flight Operations.  The FR759 program was a grand solution when it was designed but the majority of Ops duties are well outside it's realm.  The goal for Flight Tracker is simple; the act of flying can be automated through the entire process, from scheduling to recording.  The flight schedule editor will eventually print out brief sheets (if an Army standard is ever reached) and risk assessments (or pertinent risk management information) for each flight on the schedule.  Then after mission completion, flight information can be recorded as a crew rather than individually. Mission information will also be able to be entered to aid in extracting mission and aircraft utilization statistics.  Also under consideration is a report showing an aviator or non-rated crewmember their semi-annual requirements, how they are progressing, and what they need to meet their minimums, but that may be incorporated into the Automated Aircrew Training Program.  Also planned is a worksheet for Flying Hour Program projections and submission, graphs to help manage the company's FHP, and any additional reports that may be required.

If you work in Flight Operations - YOU NEED THIS! - Never search through the 759 computer for information on each crewmember again - It's all right there! -

*Note* - This version of Flight Tracker must be updated with the Update Utility which is in the Start Menu, Programs, Fight Tracker item along with Flight Tracker itself.  The utility, not Flight Tracker, is updated with the Update.zip download.  Please ensure Flight Tracker is not running while updating your Flight Tracker System Files.
